On my computer, using Windows XP, I am unable to connect to the internet using Internet Explorer 7. Until recently this was fine and Has suddenly stopped working. I'm still able to connect using Mozilla Firefox but would like to get IE up and running again. All I get is that the page cannot be opened and sometimes when I close down IE7 there's a message telling me that a serious error has occured.

Can anyone give me any useful advice (as the help pages on microsoft.com aren't any help)?

check that your home page has not been hijacked to one which reads " an error has occured" etc

Uninstall IE7, install IE6 IE7 is not really compatible with XP. This should solve your problem. Good Luck.
