I just got early access into pottermore. Obviously, I was very excited! But once I started getting the results of my personality quizzes (the wand one and the house sorting) I ran into some issues.
My wand part descriptions are nothing like my personality at all. And I just got sorted into hufflepuff, which is a problem. I am a gigantic ravenclaw, maybe a slytherin, perhaps even gryffindor is a stretch to put me in. But Hufflepuff is just the most ridiculous thing for me, it doesn't match up with me at all. And I think I know the problem.
Some of the questions rely on stereotypical symbolism- i.e questions like "black or white"? A person's color preference has nothing to do with their mental state. Instead, it relies on what their eyes find appealing. Therefore some of the questions are unfair. When J.K. asks, for example, black or white, she is referring to the symbolism behind these colors (white=pure, good; black=unknown, mystery). This is an inaccurate way of judging for many reasons, mostly because colors are percieved in many different ways by different individuals. For example, ancient brides would wear black dresses instead of white ones because black was a joyful color back then. IT ALWAYS CHANGES. So if I get the chance to start over on Pottermore, I will answer the wand and house questions based on their deciphered symbolic meanings, rather than their aesthetic appeal.
But sadly, I didn't do that too well the first time. Is there any way to refresh my account and start it over and erase all my progress so I can answer the questions correctly?
Thanks :)
