DSL is usually a little cheaper but I like Road Runner, it's faster. They both have their pro's and con's.

My personal choice is cable (Road Runner). For the higher price you get quite the speed and they're always improving. It's been said that with cable internet, you're also sharing the bandwith with the rest of RoadRunner's customer base for that area. However, I live in a major city and I have no bandwith problems.
DSL on the otherhand is generally cheaper and some services offer matching speeds with that of cable, but it's more costly than cable itself. The difference between cable and DSL is that DSL is not shared with the customer base. The bandwith you get is solely dedicated to you. You'll also find that many areas are more equipped with DSL services than cable.
Another cheaper option you may want to check into is wireless. Granted the bandwith is nothing in comparison to DSL and cable, however it's much cheaper than both.

I actual have verizon dsl and prefer it, my acquaintances stay on the city and performance RR and that i see little or no distinction in p.c. compared to them. My dsl has each and each and every of the speed i pick for streaming videos and videos and likely, your voip and prompt may artwork purely besides with the dsl.

RR for speed. It may be at a higher price but it's worth it if you are a serious multimedia junky or online gamer. Aside from that, DSL speed would be enough for most online activities.

I think they are about the same. It all depends on where you are.
