You can't do that. When you open a new tab, presumably it is to view another website so you wouldn't want your home page

When you open a new tab it opens a blank page all the time

There isn't a way to make it got straight to you homepage, you just have to click the home button.

In IE7 & IE8, there is a small visible section of a blank tab to the right of the tab you have open. Click it to open a new tab.

That is how it works. When the new tab is open you will have to type in the website address of your choice. You can also open a new tab by press CTRL+T

it doesn't work that way. IE assumes that you are going to type in an web site. Sorry wish I could say it does. Not saying I am right but I dabble a little in computers this is the way it is as far as I know. Hey if you find anything diffrent PLZ let me know!

I don't think you can set it like that.
