Forbidden website on Laptop but NOT on PC ???

Question

Does anyone have any idea as why exactly am I receiving error message as:

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forum on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

when visiting a certain website on my Laptop but can visit it at my work's PC.

I first thought there's a problem with the website itself, but that's NOT the case, since I could visit it rather well at my work's PC but just not at my own laptop back at home.

The website itself is www.usingenglish.com/forums which I'm a member of, since I'm a keen Linguist myself & tend to help others within the forum with their questions.

Looks like it might be a typo on your laptop. Try typing:



http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/



(no "s"). Hope that works. It did for me. Interesting site, by the way.

You have 2 completely different computers.



Check your settings in the security tab of IE's properties.



Make the 2 systems match.

I think it has to do with the differences in software on the computers, or even may have to do with the parental settings on one of the computers
