I'm not asking about yahoo tool bar. For example, if i type letter 'a' in the search box at yahoo home page; below the search box another small window opens and it shows my previous search words starts from the letter 'a'. So how do i clear the history of my search words in the yahoo home page search tab? (Note: i've tried >tools>internet options>clear history)

yes, clearing ur cookies, temporary internet files and history usually does the trick. or if u want u can completely disable the auto-complete function. for this go to internet options->content->Auto-complete and clear all the checkboxes. this way it wont ever show u all the words starting with 'a' or anything else, anywhere.

Why, have you been at the porn searches again?? Heh heh, only teasing. The only way I knew of doing it was doing the 'clear history' thing, is this not working? It should do! Just type loads of other 'fake' searches that are really similar to the thing you were actually searching for (but want to hide, presumably..) but make sure they are alphabetically before the thing you want to hide. That way, when someone comes to look at it, your 'hidden' search will be off the list, it'll be too far down to be seen.

Delete cookies, temporary files, and clear history. That should do it. If you are at a computer at an office they may have disabled that function, which, I imagine would be bad news.
