First off, go to the New York Times site.

http://www.nytimes.com/

At the top go to Tools, down to Internet Options, hit Use Current for home page, and it is set.

Go to View, down to Toolbars, and deselect the Yahoo toolbar. That will remove it from view, and you can add it again later. If you want it gone permanently, use the Add/Remove Programme function in the Control Panel

To set up your homepage to the new york times website, find Internet options in Internet explorer 6 it will be under tools in 7 you can right click and it will bring up a menu. Once in there you will see a thing that has the web address in it. If you are at the New york times website you can click use current and click apply or you can type in the full web address into that little slot.

And to remove yahoo toolbar go to your control panel which is found in most cases under the start menu. Once there a thing that says add and remove program is there double click on it. It will pop open another window wait until that has loaded it self up and than find the yahoo toolbar. Once found click remove on the right.

This is the only way I know how to remove it and that is how I do it.

I hope my instructions are easy enough to understand and good luck with it.

For the Yahoo toolbar, right click on the toolbar where there is nothing and there should be a list of different toolbars. There should be a check mark next to the word Yahoo toolbar.Left click on it and the toolbar should disappear.Another way is go to tools and then go down to toolbars, there is also a list of toolbars and the check marks.Do the same thing as the other one.

Go to tools, Internet options and type in the website you want as your home page. To get rid of your Yahoo toolbar, go to view, toolbars, and there is going to be a check besides Yahoo toolbar, click it and the toolbar should go away.

The easiest way to change your home page is to go to the site you want to use....select Tools>Internet Options>then under the General tab hit the Use Current Button where it says Home Page.
