change your email password

Login your yahoo mail/beta

click on options > mail options

Click on Account Information

(you will be asked to enter your password)

Your Yahoo ID card will open

Click on change password.

Enter the current password and the new twice.

Click on Save Button

click on Finished Button to Exit.

create filters.

In yahoo mail go to

options > mail options > Filters

Click on Add button to set a filter.

Give a name to your filter.

You can create filters for the subject text that you receive often. For example if you are receiving mail having mailer daemon in the subject line.

Then Add mailer daemon in the text box in front of

Text-contains- type mailer daemon here

Leave the match case unchecked.

There are also filter options for checking words in header, body, of mail. After that decide where the mail will go. In your case select the folder named trash as below.

Then-Move The message To-select trash from the list.

Press Add Filter button when done.

You can set as many as 15 filters in yahoo mail.

The email address that is receiving such feedback has been hijacked by a spammer, and is being used as the "return address" for their spam. Some of the spam is not getting to it's destination, and thus, your email account is begin told of the results.

One can filter these messages away, switch email accounts, or simply ignore it, depending on your email tools.

One Idea of many: Try to keep several email accounts, and only allow your true email to be displayed on web pages that you're ready for a spammer to capture and use for nefarious purposes. Use the other accounts as the "junk pile" and check them only occasionally for important things you may have missed.

I have gotten the same thing!! I found out another person/site was using my e-mail address to spam me and others. The horrible thing about it was the nature of these e-mails!(Not for my mothers viewing...so to speak) I reported these e-mails as spam and had to keep doing it for a while. I readjusted my settings(I don't get e-mails unless the address is on my safe list) and haven't gotten any since. Best part, I didn't have to change my e-mail.

you have a virus in your computer sending those emails; making up email addresses based on your contacts.

If you are not sending any and no one in your household is sending any then it could be one of the following:

1. Someone is sending anonymous mail using your email address. (you can't really stop this unless you just block the mailer deamon or mark it as spam)

2. You have an old trojan/worm/virus on your computer trying to send mail to the creators address containing personal information about you. Run an antivirus.

Maybe you are sending e-mail to someone and you have a bad e-mail address. The mailer deamon should be telling you which address was undeliverable.
