I really don't wanna be stuck with such a generic e-mail address provided by (aol or sbcglobal.net) and be at their mercy if I ever disconnected service so I was wondering if I sign up with Yahoo Shared webhosting & get a custom e-mail domain would I be stuck with only AT&T or can i switch to different ISP and let them manage my custom domain.

I'm not sure how Yahoo runs their system of webhosting, usually you can transfer over domain names owned by you to a new hoster. As long as you OWN the domain, meaning you have paid for it, you should be able to hast it anywhere you want. Usually when hosting a custom domain you receive pop3 email addresses with the hosting package.

ie.

www.mywebsite.com

Bought the domain and hosted at a website, will usually get a package including

myemail@mywebsite.com

First, your ISP has nothing to do with your E-mail address if you have your own domain registered. Your webhost is where this comes from and is completely separate from your ISP unless you have an E-mail from you ISP like whatever@aol.com or whatever@adelphia.net.

Second, if you switch webhosts you can still keep your domain by transferring it to your new host.

So you have nothing to worry about. If you want to register a domain or get webhosting you can get it at http://www.dakotawebhosting.com

If you use your ISP or browser free web page builder then you will lose it. Get a website from some one other than your provider. google search free web hosting to find one. If you are just worried about your email address, you can have the old email forward mail to your new address.

I even have NGI (from Milan) Sucks too. I would desire to pay $a hundred/ month for great severe-speed for video conf. connection and it particularly sluggish. as quickly as I wave to my acquaintances and kin they provide the effect of being to wave returned day after today. this is strange.

If you are using yahoo mail, why would your internet provider even be involved?

Of course you can use web based mail with any internet provider.
