I must say when IE 7 came out I was really thrilled. But after stumbling upon Firefox 2, I instantly fall in love with this browser. In my opinion IE 7 is somewhat limited concerning plug-ins/add-ons, but Firefox isn't. You can do lots to Firefox. And the browser keeps getting there day by day. :)

Internet Explorer uses Active X, here is what Microsoft says about it:

"An ActiveX control can be an extremely insecure way to provide a feature...From the moment a user downloads an ActiveX control, the control may be vulnerable to attack"

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa752035.aspx

Firefox does not have Active X

United States Computer Emergency Team:

"There are a number of significant vulnerabilities in technologies related to the IE domain/zone...ActiveX (etc)...It is possible to reduce exposure to these vulnerabilities by using a different web browser"

Firefox is plenty greater desirable than information superhighway Explorer. IE basically retains throwing you out. whilst it does artwork....it takes continually to flow from one internet site to a distinctive!!! attempt Firefox, i'm specific you will like it!!

My personal experience is still i prefer IE. as most of the sites in the net are optimised for IE. Lots of plugins for IE are drawn from windows and there wont be any issues with Windows media player plugins etc...

Some guys especially who are oriented towards open source love Firefox as it works well with Linux operating system.

Firefox wins by a long shot, for these reasons.

It is more secure.

Very easy to add and install add-ons.

Faster.

Tidier tabbed browsing.

Many great add-ons available.

Firefox 3 coming out soon.
