It is conveniently faster than Firefox, especially on Java and Google sites like YouTube and that. It also runs on much less RAM, which you know, contributes to speed. The only other major feature is that every tab is a separate process so that if one crashes, it doesn't crash the whole browser. But all the tabs add RAM up quickly.

But if you've used Firefox before, you know all about the add-ons and extensions and open-source customobility. Firefox uses more RAM and is therefore slower, but it runs pretty much the same no matter how many tabs there are.

I'd recommend Chrome if you haven't got a great computer and you're just doing casual browsing. It's a hundred times better than IE though. And it's Google. So.

By the way, most Google software is in beta, even if it's perfectly okay to be officially released. Kind of a fad going around...

Chrome is excellent, in my opinion. Blows every other browser out of the water in terms of navigation speed and low processing requirements. And it is out of beta, by the way, though it's latest version (which i'm using atm and have had no issues with thus far) is still in beta. The only two downsides I've found so far is a lack of a RSS feed reader and better bookmark management. But these aren't too noticeable.

Another browser you may wish to try, which I believe is much better than Firefox, is the Opera browser. Just make sure you do a wee bit of customization :). I still use Opera for my RSS feeds.

Chrome is okay, but it's not good for advanced use. But whatever you use don't use internet explorer because it is very unsafe. Make the desicion Firefox Vs. Chrome

Chrome is faster, but it lacks ease of privacy. Like you can't set it to not record history, and such like in Firefox. The layout is similar to Internet Explorer except it doesn't have a bookmark tab or a bookmark tool bar like in Firefox. Overall I'd recommend it if you're willing to change, otherwise, stay away from it.

i like it, 9.5/10 on the 2d. Rule One: this is rapid. via fact this is from Google, i'm incredibly specific this is guard. the clarification I docked it .5 factors is as a results of the fact, nicely, this is a beta launch. Giving 10/10 on a universal beta? Come on. I even have 2 well-known advantageous factors. I word that, if a technique is making, say, 100k utilization, you need to use the job supervisor (web site>Developer>job supervisor) and close that tab, lowering your utilization. yet one i actually and actually love, you may create 'utility shortcuts' (web site>Create Appl...) and that they permit you to launch purposes out of your individual laptop. case in point, say i exploit Gmail. i will create a shortcut to Gmail from my laptop laptop, and double-click it to launch it. it truly works with diverse different apps, too. yet another element i like in all browsers is simplicity. like the Google homepage, that's easy, the UI isn't the prettiest element on the earth, although this is straightforward and effective. It takes it slow to get to nicely known your way around it, yet hi, it took time to nicely known your way around IE7, Safari 3.a million, Firefox 3, and truly Opera. what's diverse? WebKit is a superb, rapid rendering engine. as this is the 1st day, all of us does not have an app for Chrome. as quickly because it gets, say, 10% marketplace share (Google ought to accomplish this via freeing specific 'might desire to have' advantageous factors for Chrome, and then perhaps 3-6 months later for FF/IE shoppers), i'm specific greater human beings will write apps for Chrome. on the tip, marketplace share would be a million% cyber web Explorer, 40% Firefox, 40% Chrome, 19% Safari - properly. average, I recommend you acquire Chrome right this moment. you will no longer remorseful approximately it.

Well I think it's alright I use it as my secondary browser. It's features really interesting and really user friendly and be used so formally. You also don't have to worry about tool bars he only exclusively showing google tool bars. It'd also cool because it's storing some pages that it gone in to. Like Onemanga It saves the pictures and I can view waht I have read even without a net.

I like it but it's still in beta form. I'd wait until it's complete. I have every intention of using it again. It's pretty fast to answer the last part of your question.

It's not much faster than Firefox though. I personally don't care about a couple of seconds.
