Question about IP address on an email?

Question

Does it give the specific location of the person, e.g. latitude and longitude of where they're originating, or is it the location of the nearest internet provider for that person emailing? How much info can one get from an IP address? I can look up the IP address and see what city they're emailing from but is there any other info I can extract from that info or is that all I can get? Just looking for people who actually know, NOT guesses (I can guess myself). Thanks!!!

you can find the location of an ip address through a website but i cant remember what it was. and i think you can do a reverse lookup for ip's but i cant remember on that either.
