Emails go to outbox and stay there? Using Windows Mail. Hadn't been a problem before. Emails go to outbox but do not send. Any ideas? Thank you

Check your "Accounts". You likely have more than one. Check their order in Send/Receive (Email Properties under Settings/Options). One of them's a "bottleneck": it's not connecting, and because of that, the others are waiting on it.



The Send part of Send/Receive won't complete for your other accounts until the "bottlenecked" not-connected account gets connected.



Check the SMTP servers specified for all accounts. Ensure they're the correct. Likely the one that's causing the problem, is not. Ensure the POP3 servers are the correct for all accounts while your at it.



Then, empty your inboxes. Empty your outboxes. Shut down Outlook. Start Outlook. Pick one of those Accounts. (Tools==>Accounts==>...as you did before)



Test each account to send a verifying email...to ensure it will send and receive an email to itself. If not, then you still don't have the POP3 and SMTP servers quite right! Find out why!
