when i try to go on tumblr it redirects me to tumblr.com/suspended and says "rate limit exceeded" which i'm assuming means i've been banned. i emailed support and they asked for my ip address so i gave them my ip address and they were like "thanks i've passed this along to our development team to investigate" so i guess i'll have to wait for them to email me again with the reason why i've been banned and stuff.

i had another account set up in case this ever happened, but i can't log onto it because i can't access anything on tumblr. i can go to other people's blogs, but if i go to anything that's like tumblr.com/(whatever) it just says "rate limit exceeded." i can't even access other people's ask boxes. but anyway, is there any way i can just get to the tumblr homepage to log onto my other account or to create a new account?

Tumblr hate affiliate marketers or even marketers with their own products. They think all marketers are spammers. Some are of course, but a lot are not.

If you were using Tumblr for commercial purposes, even if you thought you were providing useful information, they will still delete your account.

in case you seem in tumblr's rules, it says you're actually not allowed to post self harm because of the fact it may desire to "glorify" or inspire others to do it and likewise it may desire to reason triggers for individuals who're attempting to recover from it. To me, it extremely is clever why they could droop your weblog, i do no longer see why human beings could have any reason to post that stuff. yet whilst your objective is to help human beings, make an suggestion weblog for individuals suffering with self harm or once you're suffering your self, discover some suggestion blogs on tumblr to talk approximately it. desire that enables!

They have your IP, do you really want to create another account against their terms and conditions?
