Would this be illegal? Im pretty sure the live stream would be illegal to host and setup but if im not actually the one hosting the live stream and im just embedding it onto my website would this be classed as copyright infringement too?
Thanks in advance.

It's illegal if you don't own the copyright to the content (for example, movies and other content not licensed under the Creative Commons or in the Public Domain), it's perfectly legal if you own the copyright to the content or have been granted permission by the copyright holder (for example, if the content you intend to stream is your original creation or the creator permits its use under the Creative Commons license or if the content is in the Public Domain).

if the film is copyright/you do not have permission of the owner:
yes, you share something that is copyrighted. most films say in the begin that the film is meant for in your own house only and not for sharing or distributing. streaming basically makes you share it with other people that did not buy this film and is therefor illegal. you basically 'spread' copyrighted stuff.
even if you are not streaming yourself, you basically help spreading the copyrighted properties too.

Why not just post the link as an URL then they can click on it to see it.

depends on what you are streaming and if it was intended to be embedded.
