how do i make email not go to spam folder?

I have mail from someone that I would like to go to my regular inbox so it notifies me on my desktop that I've got mail, but instead the mail goes to my spam folder. How can I make it so that person's mail goes to my regular inbox? I'm using AOL mail.

Emails go back to the spam folder even when I hit the not spam

go to the spam box, check the messages you want to unspam, and then click 'not spam' in the little toolbar above the mail.
