just recently can not reset my IE explorer homepage. Always defaulting to "ie.redirect.hp.com......" and I am getting AOL or MSN. Have tried resetting using "Internet Option" but it will not stick. Any suggestions? Ready to throw this HP out the window!

You probably have some spyware called hijackers. They basically hijack your IE homepage and set it to w/e they want.

Download Ad-Aware from downloads.com and do a full scan. Restart your computer after the scan and try changing your homepage again.

Hope this helps!

Have a good day.

Try another browser like firefox http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.com/

or opera http://www.opera.com/download/

If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.com/2007/03/spybot-search-and-destroy-spyware-and.html do that now .Update it (Latest updates 28-3-2007) and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode

Sounds like you might have a virus or a browser hijacker. Here is a link for you to read.
