Can I upload images to tumblr outside of posts and avatar pics?

Question

I need to upload images to my right column in tumblr. However, the only places I can upload images are (1) avatar picture and (2) creating a post. Can I somehow upload images to be displayed in my right column without creating a post?

If your right column happens to be your sidebar, which is what I am assuming that you are asking, then all you have to do is find the picture you want online, get the html of it by richt-click --> inspect element and copy the highlighted html into your description box under "customize".



However, if the right column you are referring to isn't your blog sidebar, you can't upload any pictures there unless you develop your own theme.

I don't know the exact reason, but it sure does keep this site a lot cleaner and saner than the Fb. Personally, I had posted my original mugshot up here, when I was a novice. Soon I was flooded with unwanted/unsavory mail. Then my best friend suggested that I post something else, so I did and now no one disturbs me any more. Perhaps this is one of the reasons, why we girls refrain from posting the originals. I can't say about boys. :.:

Yes you can but you need to customize your theme or use themes as per your need.
