I agree with you, I am quite happy with classic mail but did try the new one and did not like it. Instead of creating a new format altogether why did they not just incorporate better security and faster delivery etc into classic mail!

Because they've realised that more people prefer the user-friendliness (and faster speed) of Classic over the Beta. So the only way to upgrade people is to get rid of classic completely.

Within a few month it won't be optional any more. I'll no longer be using yahoo mail. It's just not as good as it was with classic. I need my tab option for my mail, not be forced into one email at a time.

I think that Classic is working too well and they can't hope for their users to switch to the new crappy interface they've tried to impose for years without success. They'd rather get rid of beta and improve classic to satisfy more users.

I've been using YM for 12 years now. The interface got slower years after years but remained usable as long as they don't send flash-based ads which freeze your browser while you're typing. I tried the new interface 3 times and it was a disaster, it managed to completely freeze my browser. It took me almost one day of tricks to try to get back to classic after the last attempt, my browser would immediately freeze upon login, preventing me from switching back. Since then I decided that I would never try it again. It's too much instable and trying to prevent you from evading is not acceptable.

It seems like we'll all have to migrate to something else such as gmail in a few months. I wonder if I can get my mails back before they block our access :-(

Also, one of my large customers is still using MSIE6 (this one cannot easily disappear from enterprises due to many applications which work only with it). YM classic does work with IE6. The new one didn't last time I checked.

It's amazing to see a service provider deliberately degrade the quality of its services. I really don't understand their position. The new interface is so much limited, sluggish and uncomfortable compared to the classic one ! I think they're just attracted by the flashy colors and they believe that it's what their users are looking for. They should give it a try themselves before forcing us to use it. Surely they'd understand that it's a PITA.

Yahoo would not care what all and sundry thinks. They ask you to fill in a survey on what your think of, yet hardly take any word. And to respond to your query relating to the mail improve, this new version isn't as stable by way of fact the single it replaced, that's for constructive. I my case that's plenty slower to load and exhibit emails or different folders. i do no longer like it in any respect. and each sometimes the folders won't open up in any respect. properly there are different e mail servers accessible and that i've got subscribed to 2 of them, google and msn those are in basic terms as stable if not extra helpful, and much less no longer ordinary than yahoo. possibly yahoo won't be able to function 2 categories of servers on the comparable time. givemestrength

Your choice, pick the one you like and stick to it. I have 3 computers all with Yahoo as home page and they are all different layouts, don't worry about it.

It is probably because there was too much spamming in classic...I get NO spam in beta, and it is free, better than the 'all new' and they have not said anything about changing it. Good luck my friend!
