Netfirms. For basic hosting, you can get 6GB of space, 300GB of bandwith and personal E-mail addresses all with 24/7 support. It only cost $59.40 a year. I am a web designer and I have been using Netfirms for over 5 years.

Dreamhost works for me, and has for quite a few years. They have their problems, but so does every other hosting company. For more options check www.webhostninja.com.

Well, it depends on how much you want to spend.

1. If you're willing to pay $20+/monthly for hosting I recommend:

http://www.mediatemple.com

http://www.slicehost.com

For performance intensive sites I don't recommend shared hosting at all, but if you really want something cheap:

2. For $5-$10 I recommend Dreamhost http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html

Their standard price is $119.40/year ($9.95/month if you pay yearly) but they currently have a promotion. You can use the promo code PLUS at sign up page and get the $50 discount + 2 Free domain names. This way you get them for $69.40/year ($5.78/month). You can use their huge Disk Space and host unlimited number of subdomains and domains on a single plan.

Disk space: 500 GB

Bandwidth: 5000 GB

2 Free domain names

Price: $5.78/month ($69.40/year)

P.S. Since you're from the UK http://www.hosttell.com/one currently have a promotion in the UK. They are offering free hosting and a domain (I think you have to pay about €10 setup fee for the whole year). Although they offer a lot less disk space, you get a year of hosting for a price of a domain name, so they might be useful for some other site, or even this one if you don't require more than a GB of disk space.

try 1&1, fasthosts or lycos. These are all EU based and all offer fairly low cost hosting that supports PHP/MySQL.

I'm UK based and I have used all of the above and they are all OK.

They all offer a control panel that lets you set up your databases and they let you add various PHP/MySQL based tools such as CMS and other portals very easily.

I have been using Lycos as my main hosting provider for several sites I run for 5 years without any problems.

Dear friend, take into consideration that web hosting is a global service, it is not important you are located in Au, UK, Ca or US. And also the cost of hosting services in UK & Au generally is a little high in compared with the same services in CA & US.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

They offer a Full-featured service only $6.95 a month. You can see their Plan Details accompanied with reliable reviews regarding their service at:

http://www.threehosts.com/reviews/1st

Here I have copied and pasted its features from their website to view:

- Free Domain Forever

- Unlimited Space

- Unlimited Transfer

- Host UNLIMITED Domains (Support All Domain Names)

- 2,500 POP/Imap Email Accounts

- SSH (Secure Shell), SSL, FTP, Stats

- CGI, Ruby (RoR), Perl, PHP, MySQL

- 2000/2002 Front Page Extensions

- Free Site Builder

- 24/7 Superb/Responsive Sales/Support

- Free Search Engine Submission

******IMPORTANT*******

* This service was awarded “The Best Web Host OF 2008”.

* If you sign up for this service you will have $100 credits to advertise your website with the google & yahoo search engines for free!

* You Can Register A Free Domain or Use Your Existing Domains. They Support All Domain Names.

Discover now the best sport betting system: http://sport-betting-tips.checkhere.info

Too many people think of sports betting as just something they do in their past time. However, many people can see the potential that exists if you manage to have the right sports betting strategy and correct approach to betting in general. Are you sick of losing? Interested in finding out how to turn your luck around? Do you want to know which sports betting strategies stand to help you make the most from your betting?

Any good strategy should allow you to place bets based on a systematic method. Of course there is always a random element or so called luck involved, but betting is all about stacking the odds in your favor. There should be no guess work involved or bets placed based on gut feelings. Betting is a business and it should be treated like one. Any money you use for betting needs to be separate from money you use for your daily life or anything else. How can you possibly expect to follow a strategy with money that was originally set aside to pay next week's rent with? You can't. This will help you to focus on the task of betting and remove any emotional strings attached to the money.

So what makes a good strategy or what should you look for in a strategy before you decide to implement it? Any good strategy needs to have a positive expectancy. This means that in the long run you will win. The hit rate of the strategy needs to be above 50% for you to be able to profit in the long run. An ideal win rate should be between 60 to 70%, because you will need to cover the fees and other expensive associated with betting. Is it feasible to expect you'll be able to find a system that has a 100% win rate? No, it isn't. The best you can do is find a system that has a positive expectancy and stick with it. In the long run you will make more money than you can possibly lose.

Keep whatever information and news you have about the teams as up to date as possible. Any changes in the teams makeup or factors that affect how the players play will great affect the potential outcome of a match. Make sure that you are constantly up to date on every aspect that affects the potential outcome of a match. Information is the key to winning at sports betting.

Sorry, in the U.S. here - but one thing I will tell you, **ANY** shared hosing is as bad as anything else. Anything any other site does on that server to bring down the server affects YOU. This is especially true of mysql databases as most of the programming I've seen out there is horribly inefficient, insecure, and sloppy.

You really need to start looking at dedicated server plans. VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a second choice, but the server is still being "shared" between other VPS clients. You will never get the reliability and uptime you hope for until you lease a dedi.

goDaddy.com's dedicated server plans range from as little as $89/mo (U.S.D) for stripped-down to $150 per month. We lease on an annual plan which adds up to $114 month. In two years, our only down time was due to something that WE did. :-/

Once you go dedicated, there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that compares.
