Question:
What's the best outgoing mail server to use with 123-reg and Outlook?

I run a small business and set up my website and email with 123-reg. I currently use Outlook to send and receive my emails but as 123-reg do not provide an outgoing server (only incoming), I have been forced to use googlemail as my outgoing. I would like to use another server as I'm concerned that a high number of my emails will fall in to spam folders.

I currently have a 'reply-to' set up so that all emails replied to come back to my original 123-reg email but would like to use another outgoing server that wont confuse my emails with spam and that will look a bit more professional when I am emailing clients.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

You should use the SMTP (Outgoing Mail ) setting provided by your ISP. For example if it's BT then it will probably be mail.btinternet.com. But you need to check.

(On the subject of BT, if you're using your own domain (which you are) you will need to register that name on BT's Broadband page so that it will permit you to send mail).

DON'T use Hotmail as suggested here. It's one of the worst offenders for spam and is not considered professional in any respect.

Googlemail has quite good spam filters.
