how can i see my hidden files.help me 10 point?

Question

actully i had windows vista on my pc.i got some pictures saved on my E: drive and i made them hidden.
unfortunately i have to uninstall window and when i install window again.now i am not been able to see these pics.i did these things already..
unhide them
i try to change permissions
but not been able to view yet
please help

when you're in the folder with the files goto tools then folder options.



then goto the view tab



then in the list you'll see "show hidden files and folders" click the button next to it and hit apply

To see Hidden files:



1) Open WIndows Explorer

2) Go to Tools->Folder Options menu items

3) Go to "View" tab

4) Under "Hidden Files and Folders" select the "Show Hidden Files and Folders" radio button

5) Click Apply

6) Click OK

Go into the drive there in and then go to your menu and select Tools then Folder Options and then look through the options until you see "show hidden files and folders" and select that box and then apply it





You should be able to see your pics

you might of erased them when you reinstalled windows if this is on a another drive you might want to try to reclaim owernship of the drive do this by right clicking the drive going to properties click the security tab then click advanced then click owners tab place a check in the box to replace owner and click apply after that you should be able to access the pics if not yah you deleted them when you uninstalled

go to my computer then click on tools menu then folder options then click on view then theres written hidden files and folder under it check the show hidden files and folders. now you can see your hidden files.

try using search and looking up 1 of the picture's file names and see if it comes up

If you reinstalled windows, most likely the hard drive was reformatted. If that's the case, everything on the hard drive is gone. You can't get them back.

go to a folder, click tools, folder options, view, and select show hidden files and folders

Depending on what you did during your install process, you may have wiped the E: drive. If that's the case, your pictures are gone.
