Your Favorites are stored on your computer. They won't appear if you use another computer.

Not unless you copy the FAVORITES folder stored under your account name and copy it unto the new computer which you will be working on. All your Favorite Bookmarked Sites will all be preserved.
Go to your main drive (C:), go to Documents and Settings folder. Find you account name, click it. there you can find Favorites folder (marked with star icon). Save the whole folder in a flash drive or floppy disk. copy this in the new computer you're working on inside the folder of your account name.

Your favorites are saved in your computer in this folder :
C:\Documents and Settings \ abc (name of your computer) or All Users \ Favorites
Basically you will find 'Favorites' folder inside the 'C:\Documents and Settings' folder.
If you want to use your Favorites in another computer, you can copy the files from inside the 'Favorites' folder in a Floppy/CD or any media and save it in another computer which you want to use. In another computer also you have to save it in a same place inside a folder called 'Favorites'.
And if you are reinstalling Windows you have to do the same thing. you must have to save your Favorite folder contents in a Floppy/CD or any media before you reinstall Windows.

If you want your favourites to be on your new computer then you'll have to save them to a disk or CD and then you can put them in your favourites from that disk or CD! I've done that
when I changed from my 95 to 98 and later from my 98 to My XP. Oh if you're getting a new computer and thinking of XP operation then get the Professional XP, ignore the Home Edition XP cause is tons of problems!

You need to backup your favorites from your old computer and then restore them to your new computer. It is really easy to do.
If using Internet Explorer, go to file-import and export-use the wizard to export your favorites. On your new computer do the same thing but choose to import your favorites using the file the export created.
If using Firefox (and everyone should!) go to bookmarks-manage bookmarks-file-exports. Again do everything in reverse on the new computer except you will choose to import
If using AOL good luck I have no clue.

its on your hard drive or hard disk same shait make sure you dont change that too .... if u do change that part too and get rid of the old one and if you use win xp or win 2000 than look into documents and setings "click on yer user" what you created when you instaled windows bla bla and there will be a file or something named as favorites you can burn it on a cd or copy the file on a flopy or something before you throw your old hard disk out the window

it depends on your internet provider. AOL saves all the favorites so no matter where you sign on you still have them, even on new computers but I think for the rest of us you loose them. I just made a copy of my favorites and put them in e-mail form so I could easily get them on my new computer.

If you change your hard drive, yes you will lose your favorites. If you're just changing the monitor/screen then no you won't.
If you're changing computers, email yourself links to your current favorites using your yahoo email. That way when you get your new computer you can open your email, click on the links then save them to your favorites on your new computer.

There is a way to transfer them to your new computer!
Open your favorites and look into "Help"
