Simple solution, download Firefox on a different computer, then transfer it via USB or CD to your computer.

Sounds like a browser hijack to me. What operating system are you using and also what version of Internet Explorer ?

Basic IE troubleshooting always begins with clearing your temp files, cookies, and browsing history. To access your internet options go to your control panel and double click the icon labeled "Internet" options. Click the appropriate buttons to clear those items and try to load the program again.

If you are using IE 7 you can try to run the program without loading any add-ons to see if one of them is causing the problems. To do this, click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

(You can also load IE without add-ons by clicking START --> RUN and then typing iexplore.exe -extoff)

If those don't work try to re-register IEPROXY.DLL by clicking START --> RUN and typing regsvr32 IEPROXY.DLL and then clicking OK.

When IE dissapears does IExlorer.exe show in the task manager's list of running processes?

Have any toolbars or new sofware been added recently? If so and you are using Win XP you may want to try a system restore to a previous point before the changes were made or uninstall the toolbars completely. Also disabled all Pop-Up blockers to see if that has any effect.

A last resort If you cannot get online that way then use the PC that you have been posting on and copy FireFox file to CD and transfer it to you other PC.

just remove and re-install IE... I'm not sure if its different then XP, but go to wherever you remove programs. There should be a tab that says "Remove Windows Components" and it'll bring up a list.. Click the arrow next to Internet Explorer, and click "finish" or "okay" or "apply", whichever option you're given. Then, bring the list back up again, re-check IE, and it'll re-install.

i stumble on there are some pages that sometimes won't be ready to be accessed with information superhighway Explorer; on occasion it rather is the IE secure practices settings, different cases it rather is my Norton information superhighway secure practices settings that have reset for the period of an computerized acquire of a secure practices replace. generally resetting IE and Norton will remedy the difficulty. different cases, i will could lower back upload the positioning to my depended on web pages/Allowed web pages checklist. on each and every occasion that fails, i stumble on i will consistently get right of entry to the positioning with Netscape Navigator. i take advantage of Netscape rather of Firefox because of the fact my online banking won't settle for that browser. in case you have comparable themes, you will possibly attempt downloading Netscape Navigator and employing it as a backup cyber web browser - in basic terms because of the fact some web pages won't settle for Firefox, Opera or Chrome and Netscape Navigator has been around rather much as long as IE and greater universally acknowledged via those "rogue" web pages.

That's happened to me a couple of times with Firefox.

To correct it I needed to change setting in my Panda anti virus firewall.
