This depends on the kind of operating system you have on your computer. I presume that it's ether XP or Vista. In Vista guide I have also included how to remove (NO ADD ONS) mark since it also could do the trick:
Now for XP, simply follow this steps:
Reinstall Internet Explorer
Now that you have uninstalled Internet Explorer, you have the choice of reinstalling the Internet Explore that came with your computer or install the most recent Internet Explorer.
1. To reinstall the original Internet Explorer that came with your computer, you can find the IE program on your Windows Restoration disk.
2. Insert the restoration disk and choose to load Internet Explorer, click restore the previous windows configuration or you can choose "Advanced" to specify any additional components you would like to remove.
3. Once you click on restore the IE 6 dialogue box will appear. You will see that it is in maintenance mode, once the setup starts, you can choose to click OK to restore IE.
4. The dialogue box will ask you to verify your choice, click Ok and follow the set up wizard.
Installing the Most Recent Version of Internet Explorer
Besides restoring your computer's current version of IE, you can also choose to install a new and improved version of Internet Explorer. Just follow these tips.
1. Visit Microsoft's web site to download the most recent release of Internet Explorer.
2. Click Download to download the most recent release.
3. Select save to your computer
4. Now, uninstall your current version of IE, by clicking on Start/ Control Panel/ Add and Remove Programs.
5. Locate the Install/ Uninstall tab and go down the list until you see Internet Explorer. Now, highlight Internet Explorer and Click Add/ Remove.
6. Go to the location where you saved the newly downloaded IE and double click to install it. Follow the installation wizard.
Now for vista, simply follow this steps:
Disable/ Enable all add-ons
While browser add-ons can enhance your online experience, they can occasionally interfere or conflict with other software on your computer. Try starting Internet Explorer without add-ons to see if the problem goes away. Here's how:
•
Right-click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop, and then click Start Without Add-ons.
If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on the desktop, click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
If disabling all add-ons solves the problem, you might want to use Add-on Manager to disable all add-ons and then turn on add-ons only as you need them. This will allow you to figure out which add-on is causing the problem.
To open Add-on Manager
1.
Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.
2.
Click the Tools button.
3.
Click Manage Add-ons, and then click Enable or Disable Add-ons.
Reset Internet Explorer settings
If disabling add-ons doesn't solve the problem, try resetting Internet Explorer back to its default settings. This removes all changes that have been made to Internet Explorer since it was installed, but it does not delete your favorites or feeds.
1.
Close all Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows.
2.
Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Internet Explorer.
3.
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
4.
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
5.
Click Reset.
6.
When you are done, click Close, and then click OK.
7.
Close Internet Explorer and reopen it for the changes to take effect.
