Question:
Internet Explorer 8 HELP!!!?
2008-10-14 02:13:19 UTC
Last night I downloaded Internet Explorer 8, I had IE7. When it had finished downloading I got an error message about add-ons and that IE might not work properly. So I thought "sod that" and did a system restore to 1 day earlier to remove the updated version of IE.

Now Internet Explorer will not open at all, the window opens, tries to go to my home page and then disappears from the screen.

Any ideas how to fix this. I have no access to the net at all so I can't download anything to fix this. Skype and Outlook are still working so It's just an IE problem.

HELP pleeeeeese

Xp or Vista, Xp i can help you with. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, first off restore it back to when you first put it on, then click on Start, All Programs, then go up to Accesories, then to System Tools, Click on Internet Explorer ( no Add ons) it should work for you now, if not email me and i'll run you through the other option which takes a while to explain on here, and if what i said works then it would have been pointless me telling you the other option.

i think that in accessories is something called internet explorer no add ons. this should work and if it doesn't use another explorer. eg. firefox, opera, google chrome. besides, internet explorer 8 is still beta.
