I was a genuine ebayer! im now getting bad feedback from people i cant contact that ive won things from and ebay has taken money for all my listings that id just listed but they've suspended me so there not active, they were all genuine products and were active for about a day,ive emailed them daily but they dont answer i just receive the automatic answer system.Really awful and very frustrating.I had to send them proof of who i was!! i did it of course but just find there treatment awful when ive beenb sold things that dont work and they havent returned my money or got me about 5% back, they seem to be to big to care and you cant speak to anyone. What can i do? Ive paid for the listings and they'll take they money but surely this isnt legal as ive paid for a service that they havent provided.

i too have been done by the almighty ebay, unfortunately for them i have been in touch with national newspaper and friend who's a trading standards officer, ebay in uk is in for a very nasty shock within the next month or so, i prewarn all people who make a fulltime living on ebay, start searching for new premises as ebay is about to be served by trading standards governing body and will be made to halt all activities until it gets a better vetting system for illegal sales, from porn, bootleg gear and illegal substances.

As above.

There are a lot of scams on eBay.

I and some of my friends have had the problem of someone bidding to make sure they get an item. Then once they've received the item they complain it's not worth the money and can I return part of the price they paid. I ask them to return the item and I will give a full refund, but they refuse to return it and I refuse to reduce the price. Then they complain to eBay.

I dealt on eBay for a long time and made a good living from it (I hope the tax men aren't here) And the items were always well pictured and well described. And my ratings were quite high. I think it was about 3 years ago I last traded on eBay.

I thought they had a section where you can justify your case.

did the people have a genuine case for the bad feedback.

is there an phone number to ring.

I know I got bad feedback once but it was a misunderstanding with the seller (i'd been checking wrong email account for payment details )and had been able to resolve the issue .

but unlike you at the moment i was able to contact them .

If you have bought items that don't work thats the sellers fault not ebay if you can't contact the seller give them a bad feed back and make your comments on the items .

all the best and good luck resolving

Go to the ebay talk forums and ask there. There is a number you can call and I'm sure someone on the forum will be able to help you. I had a problem some time ago and I managed to have a real-time online text conversation with an ebay employee. Took me ages to figure out how to do it and I can't remember how I did it :( Managed it from "my ebay" page though. Through the help section or 'contact us' section.

If you got a SUSPEND notice from eBay out of the BLUE, that was probably a scam. You probably used an email to get into your account, and now someone else is using your account. For whatever reason, you have been unresponsive to this problem, and other people are getting SCAMMED by someone using your account. I would not be surprised if you have been charged for someone else's posting.

This all can happen in about 24 hours. It is important that you try to retrace your steps.

NEVER click on a link from an email from eBay, it probably is not from them. These SPOOF emails are very common.
