It's the other way around.
Answers.com aggregates content from a number of providers, one of which is Wikipedia. They're able to do this because Wikipedia content is freely licensed under the GFDL, meaning anyone can use it, modify it, and redistribute it as long as they adhere to the terms of the license.
Answers.com is also a supporter of the Wikimedia Foundation (the non-profit organisation which manages Wikipedia) and were the primary sponsor of Wikimedia's annual conference, "Wikimania" for the past two years.

Wikipedia is based on information from the open community. If the community uses answers.com then you will find it there but it's one of thousands of areas where the information is referenced from and yes it can happen the other way around as well.

All the content on wikipedia is entered by users like you and me, the owners of wikipedia don't enter any info themselves so no, it is not copied from answers.com.

answers.com refers to wikipedia articles about the subject you searched. its not that they are copying them because it says that it is from wikipedia
