I bought a sofa from DFS (U.K.) in 2009 and the frame has broken. I know that DFS give a ten year guarantee on their sofas now, but I want to know what their guarantee offer was when I bought my sofa.
I would like to be clued up before I call them and get the anticipated "brush off"!
Thank v.much,
Lee..

i have no idea about the sofa.
i do know lots about the Internet however and i don't think you can find the old web-page. the web-page was stored on their servers and unless you can get a backup of the files on the server.
the guarantee information should be on the receipt and if it isn't you can just read up on some customer rights laws. if the poor salesman think you know what you're talking about and if you even mention the name of some customer rights laws he/she should be able to fill in your guarantee. you have way more rights than you know
sorry for any bad grammar. I'm from Sweden

Look at the receipt and the paperwork that you had when you bought it.
That is what you go by and any court will go by if you are making a claim
NOT what was on a website two years ago.
Also manufacturers update there sites regularly with new makeovers
and there is no going back to earlier versions.
Also the length of time on warranties changes as the company think fit.

you should have a document from them explaining the guarantee. you will not be able to go back and find a page like this on line.
