My Windows Update keeps reminding me that I can install Internet Explorer 7.
I am not sure that I want to install it, I hear so many people wanting to revert back to 6.0

Ok here is the scoop. Security is not very good in IE 6. You need to upgrade to IE 7 if you use internet explorer (the bugs have been fixed for the most part and it is stable now). An alternate browser to IE is Firefox. I use it for everything. But to do that when you install Firefox you need to install a plugin call IEtab this enables you to run windows update in Firefox and web pages that don't display right in Firefox. But what ever way you choose you can't continue to be safe on the internet with IE 6.

Internet Exp. will always be updated by Bill and his boys...there has been talk of paying for it. In all honesty, you would be better off using Firefox and not having browser add ons.
It is great for surfing and can be set to clean ALL tracks when shut down, with no Temp. Internet Files cashes!
You can still run Windows Update without having to add any other software, and choose what you want installed as part of update.

I even have been employing IE 7 for approximately 3 weeks now and that i've got had no intense problems with it average. I did have some issues interior the start, yet they seem to have resolved themselves. I became off my firewall(s) and close down all different courses as a manner to no longer intrude with the acquire. I extremely like it plenty greater helpful than IE 6 via tab surfing and not having to open such various domicile windows to look at diverse web content. The favorites are a effective function additionally while bringing them as much as apply them. that's greater person friendly to me and that i exploit a working laptop or computing device all day for my interest. i might say that that's well worth having and to acquire it and supply it a try. do no longer provide up on it because of the fact it is going to likely be super as quickly as everybody receives used to employing it.

IE7 is "better" in the sense it is more standards compliant and has copied cool features like tabs from Firefox.
But if you need it to act like IE6 for a particular website then it's not "better' in that instance.

IE7 isn't worth any of the troble. if you have seen firefox, then use it. it is so much fast. the biggest thing with IE7, is it looks exactly the same as firefox but 10times slower.

I don't use it, but it's supposed to be better. All the bugs fixed? Till they find new ones.
