Firefox 3 Crash Help?

I just downloaded firefox three but every time I try to start it a window pops up that says firefox has crashed. It crashes everytime and I havent even been able to open firefox at all. Ive looked at the help forums on the firefox website (which havent helped at all), tried to reinstall it, and I dont have google desktop (which I have heard causes problems with firefox 3)... I know lots of other people have had this problem and was wondering if anyone could help.

I would also check your browser add-ons and if there's anything there from google, you definitely need to uninstall the toolbar and the chat.



In fact, I'd probably do that anyway. I'm guessing this is the conflict and browser add ons can be royal PITA's!

I have the same problem. I installed the Firefox 3 in two personal computers, in one the browser run ok, but in the other, the system crash exactly like our friend told.

I reinstalled, uninstalled, cleaned the registry, test several idioms, install an older version and reinstall Firefox 3, but I can´t solve the problem. If you run in safe mode the browser run but without adds on and bookmarks.

I tested defragmenting, without antivirus, checking the system file of my windows (chkdsk and sfc), checking my system performance but nothing is bad. The problem is with the Firefox 3.

If I know any more I will inform.

I can get yahoo to open, but cant attach anything because Firefox crashes when I click the attach button. I dont have any google add-ons like you do...so its definately not your google chat, etc.



From what I have found out...Firefox 3 has gliches with yahoo 2...and i also have the same problems with attaching files on my website and email accounts with Godaddy.com



Very frustrating..but looks like we have to use other browsers in the mean time.

Even i replaced into havin the comparable prob.. after installation firefox 3 my comp in user-friendly terms have been given crashed had to format it returned.. so greater effective eliminate that from ur comp n use IE7 till the firefox in thoroughly repaired..

The same thing happened to me also. I always sent an email back but nobody from firefox has responded. I even started it in safe mode, but the same problem persists. I reported that in their user forum; but now they have deleted that question from the forum.

I have similar problem but not with FF opening. In my case it crashes when I use IE tab in our chat room.



You may want to switch back to version 2. Uninstall version 3 and version 2 is sitting there somewhere on your hard drive I am sure. If not install version 2 again.

wtf i have the same exact problem. have you got any email from firefox saying what the problem is yet? cause i havnt. and i dont think its the firewall thing because my firewall always pops up and see if the download is ok.

I have never had this problem. It might be because you have a firewall or your anti-virus blocking it from running.
