how do i delete an aol email account???

i just have the free aol email/aim screen name thing and i want to delete it...i tried going to the settings and help tabs from the email screen but nothing helped...any suggestions???

I have the same problem, I have a free account that I just want to delete and never see again, but its IMPOSSIBLE. lol. I have other screen names also on the account and I just want to delete that ONE, but you cant. Just stop using it.

so youre asking that you dont want having aol anymore still want to still have use Yahoo then . well i once had aol before but i called them up on the phone and i told them i wasnt going keep and use their serivce anymore cause i told them i was going to cancel my account and wouldnt able pay the aol bills anymore . so i guess they allowed me to cancel my aol account to get SBC yahoo instead. so it better you do that way instead when youre going to not use aol anymore. then you can tell youre friends that they can sent you emails messages and talk to you stilll when youre on youre yahoo messenger to keep in touch with .

You can't delete it. But you can go back and delete all old mail, sent, or saved. then just change the password and never use it again.

Do not access it for four months and it will delete itself.
