I am coding a website from scratch, but as of yet I have no way of putting it online. What are some reliable and inexpensive web servers that would be able to host my website - free would be best.

I heard talk of it being possible to be hosted by your internet server. Has anyone ever done this or know how I could go about doing this?

First of all free web hosts aren't very reliable. Secondly, running your own Internet server will get you banned by your ISP (if you're paying for residential service).
