Shine........ stop calm down, take a breath.

OK the way you have written your query concerns me , what exactly is telling you this information.....

You mention POP-UPS (Not your Anti Virus Program Report)

Think about it.Every Anti Virus or Spyware Program , has their own way of reporting a infection. They will not use random pop-ups with great detail.

It sounds to me like you have a two Parter Trojan, the first infects your computer and then gives false results, Then it suggest you download a particular "Anti Virus Software" of course it provides the link (Very helpful ahem how kind ahem,) Then guess what it reports it can't remove such and such and suggest if you BUY/PAY/OR CREDIT CARD PROOF OF ID/OR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER PROOF, ETC,ETC,ETC your computer will be back to normal.

Its called Rogue Security Software (Research It)

Normally the first part does not install on your computer it just has a pop up box on the Internet and offers a free scan, then it moves on to part 2.

Without telling you off, the worse thing you did was try downloading the software from the link provided by the report. YOU DEFINITELY HAVE A Trojan /Spyware/Adware/Worm/Virus/ etc etc etc now.

First lets get some Real and Proper software

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

Get the free version and run it this should find the Rogue............

Now Install A proper Anti-Virus Software Program And A Spyware Program and kill of the B***** B*******

My only question is why didn't you have any Pre Installed already, and RELY ONLY on THEIR results NOT some 3RD Party Pop-up.

Anyway now you have to research what is the best Anti-virus/Spyware for you........................ AND KEEP THEM UP TO DATE. There are lots of free or paid ones, do some research.via the search box at ,

CNET DOWNLOAD TRUSTED DOWNLOAD CENTRE see same hyperlink above.

PLEASE NOTE

If software download/install problems, download the proper ones from another safe computer then Burn/Copy to Disc or USB Stick then install on your computer in safe mode, then get rid of the B****** Trojan /Spyware/Adware/Worm/Virus/ etc etc etc

Hope this is useful for all

If you're on Facebook, become a fan of McAfee. They'll give you a free 6 month subscription. Even if McAfee fails to get rid of the virus, you can access their help section and find out how to remove that virus.

If you can't, at least try and find out what folder the virus is in. First, think back to when you last used your computer without these problems - a ball park idea is fine. You may have to do all of this in safe mode (restart in safe mode). Do a system restore and choose a restore date that is closest to before you think you were infected. None of your files will be harmed or deleted. What this does is undoes any system changes, i.e. downloads, that have been done since that restore point. After you've done all that, try re-downloading McAfee and rescan. Hopefully, this will resolve the problem.

If it doesn't - take it to a computer repair place.

Don't pay for anything. Don't provide any information on web sites that you don't have to.

I would recommend getting the free Spyware Doctor application as a part of Google Pack.

You can go here and un-select the things you don't want to install: http://google.com/pack

Just see if you can get Spyware Doctor to install this way and start it up. You might get lucky and it will cure the problem.

But if it doesn't, you need to boot into Safe Mode (hold F8 a few seconds after you turn on your computer and select Safe Mode from the list). Then you need to delete Start-up entries for the virus; I recommend using a program called CCleaner ( http://www.ccleaner.com ). To be able to use your internet while in Safe Mode you must choose "Safe Mode With Networking" instead of just "Safe Mode," but to be completely safe you should download CCleaner and Spyware Doctor (through Google Pack) and then use just "Safe Mode" so that your computer doesn't have internet access (effectively blocking remote access by the trojan's master if there is one).

Once you have CCleaner installed, run it and go to Tools and click on Startup.

Delete suspicious things with weird names. USUALLY your system won't REQUIRE any of these things to run but be careful. Sometimes things will be listed like the software required for your wireless card etc.

Post here if you're not sure about something in the list or if you need further help.
