Question:
Why doesn't firefox restore my previous session after crashing?

So for ages now I've used firefox (current version im on is 3.5.9) and whenever it's crashed unexpectedly (which is actually happening quite a lot now) it would give me the option to restore my previous tabs when I reopened it.

Suddenly it's not doing this anymore and I can't figure out why. When I close the browser myself and reopen it all my previous tabs are there, but when it actually crashes it never saves them as it used to. I've even tried using the session restore add-on but it doesn't seem to always pick up all the tabs that were only, maybe only 1-2 and usually not from the most recent session. I've looked into it a bit online and some basic things people said to check all seem to be fine like no private browsing, I'm not clearing my history, in tools>options it is set to "show my windows and tabs from last time" ... can't work out what the deal is and with how often it's been crashing recently (which is another problem unto itself) it's getting really frustrating. Any ideas?

If you have it set to update automatically it probably has and something has gone wrong but Give up on Firefox until its fixed there are currently just too many problems to rate it as a reliable piece of software. Try Orca, K-Meleon or Flock they are all free Mozilla based browsers and are all faster than Firefox. They have been produced by people who agree the Mozilla search engine is best but that firefox has gone wrong somewhere. If you go to firefox help pages or Mozillazine help pages you will see that the people there are extremely arrogant and blame everything and everybody for having problems with Firefox. Not a good sign. IE8 is OK with a shell like Avant or Maxthon or slim browser. But a browser that is not part of the OS will always be more secure. the less well known it is the less likely it will be hacked.

ineffective, i say forget approximately approximately all that because of the fact I definitely have the terrific answer for you. a million of the terrific upload ons, is tab combination plus, google it, installation it and alter the settings, it has a restoration consultation function that's a million cases greater sensible than firefox equipped in one. once you first open firefox after installation tab combination plus, it is going to ask you to tutor off the tab combination restoration consultation and turn on firefox equipped in one, or some thing of that type verify you study it carefuly lol.. You wont remorseful approximately it :D

I'm guessing it's not made for a large amount of tabs and it might have crashed because of too many tabs. Ask the question on the Mozilla forum they may have an update available for it soon.
