I bet you signed up for Imax notifications or an Imax contest at one point. I did and I got the same emails.



And I'll bet Steve is a (former?) IT guy at Lyris who was testing the system or a new version of the software. He typed a bunch of gobbledygook into the From line.



And I'll bet he didn't mean to send it to every Imax subscriber.

I think they are spam. Certainly, if you never asked for mail from Imax Lyris, then they are.



Either someone is spoofing the Imax address or they are using their server and mailing facility.



Imax is a movie/video website. Lyris is a Marketing Email company. The second one rather looks as though someone has either hacked the Imax account with Lyris (it seems they have one, since using that URL asked me for a username and password).



I would say, ignore them.

Lyris.net is a company that sends out spam (adult) type. You must have had some type of adult filter on your email as it is letting you know that you have gotten a message, but will not let you see the message. In addition, the second message gave you an IP address where the message came from. You spam protector seems to have sent a message back to lyris.net telling them to delete you from their mailing list.

I would delete the messages and ignore them from now on you should not get any more.
