I have problem with sending mail through windows mail, everytime I try and send something it says:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject '', Account: 'icex.imperial.ac.uk', Server: 'icex.imperial.ac.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have checked the settings of my account:

http://www3.imperial.ac.uk/ict/services/useremailfileanddirectoryservices/email/emailapplicationsetup/windowsmail/winmailspop3/

and they are all correct and I can receive mail but I can't send any... can someone help??

If your settings are secure servers using SSL make sure you turn off mail scanning in your internet security like Norton or Mcafee. Sometimes they don't support SSL.

Uncheck SSL in the email properties just in case that is not supposed to be on.
