Is there a web host that will include FTP in the package?

Question

I want to buy, and upload a site within the next 24 as cheaply as possible. Does anyone know a site that will allow this? 1and1 makes you pay for FTP, so I would prefer not them.

There are many web hosting providers and you might become confused to choose which one. It is very important that you choose a good web host. Good doesn't mean expensive. Good means reliable with great support. When you choose a web host, make sure they have excellent support. If you have a problem with your web site you want help now, not in a day or two.



It can be confusing when choosing a web hosting company because they all look pretty much the same and they seem like they know what they are doing. I am a web designer and I have changed back and forth from many companies over the years but my favorite one is FatCow. I am moving all my websites to them as the contracts expire. They include totally free FTP with several tools from their control panel. Also they allow you to use any FTP software like (FileZilla SmartFTP, etc.) These are other tools you can use to upload your website and are also free.

As far as I know most hosting companies include an FTP service otherwise how would you make any changes to your site? If they aren't offering FTP it's most likely just a domain registry or email only. Although any hosting company with anyone would automatically include a FTP service otherwise there would be no way to make edits to the site.

Bluehost has a script called unlimited ftp which I use all the time. Its a free script and simple to use. You can host unlimited websites for I think that its 6.95/month.

I've never heard of charging extra for FTP access. I use hostgator http://tinyurl.com/dxahpk for all my hosting needs and ready access to ftp .
