I use Mozilla Firefox and about 75% of the time I open new pages/tabs/sites, Mozilla crashes and gives me the option to submit a bug report. After that, it will ask me if I want to start a new Mozilla session, or to restore the old session. This happens all the time at the oddest times so I want to know how to fix this.

The first thing to do is check if your plugins are up to date or need to be updated,

by using the plugin checker from the Mozilla Firefox site :

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/#

Also ensure your extensions are up to date or need to be updated,Firefox usually

does this automatically every so often.A recent plugin, extension or theme you added

into Firefox could also be the cause if it isn't compatible with your version.

Where available Firefox also uses hardware acceleration, where some aspects of a

site you visit is handled by your graphics card in your computer. This may be a cause

of the Firefox crash problems.Try turning this feature of to see if it fixes the problem.

To the top left of Firefox, click the Firefox button and select options.Select Advanced

and then the General tab.Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.

Click OK to finish. For more help on troubleshooting visit this page from the Mozilla

Firefox site :

http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems#w_turn-off-hardware-acceleration

Hope that helps you,Tidus

If I uninstall Firefox and reinstall again, will I still have all that was saved on the Firefox Prior. It crashes, if I click on a mail item, many, many Firefox window open. Now starting yesterday I have hundreds of tabs opening and there is no way to get out or stop Firefox from loading more, so have to "Force quit" but that does not show up, or if it does as in one occasion, it will not work. I have to close my Mac by hand. I have a new Mac but this all started with my old one. Thought that would stop the problem.

Would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

The simplest fix would be to download and reinstall FireFox. I would bet when you start the install process it will give you the option to repair the currentinstallation.

If that doesn't work I would completely uninstall FireFox and then after a reboot, install it again.

I don't know how to fix it, but if you figure it out let me know. I hate when this happens it pisses me off. :(
