I used Mail.com for over a year and enjoyed it. Now I'm using Gmail and love it.

A lot of people prefer Gmail, but I think Hotmail and Yahoo are probably the most popular. It just depends on your preference for the look and features each one offers.

there is an opensource very own abode page/AJAX webmail customer (ie: similar to yahoo mail) pronounced as RoundCube. It demands a webserver, an imap email server, a mysql database, and of direction, very own abode page.
