how to save MOZILLA FIREFOX bookmarks for future use?

i know how to save as bookmark, but if i ll format os, then all book marks will be lost. is there any way to save bookmarks in a file(in local disc ) , so that later after installing new mozilla i can upload the bookmarks.?

go to Bookmarks >> All bookmarks (Press Alt + Shift + B) and select export bookmarks. you can either export as HTML file or complete archive format.
