Every time that I go to a new web page or return to a previous page, a window pops up saying that "Documents" must close. It also asks if I want to send an error report.

It happens every time, without fail. It's more of a pain than anything else.

How can I get rid of this? I tried to find this program in the control panel and delete it, but couldn't find it.

ANy other suggestions?

It's usually a matter of downloading the newest version of your browser, to fix the problem.

Next time you try to go to the web page, and the "Document must close" window pops up, click "yes" when it asks if you want to send an error report. After you do so, another box will pop up that gives you the option to discover why the problem is occurring. When you click "yes" on that, a page from Microsoft will appear, giving several suggestions.

As previously stated, their first suggestion will undoubtedly suggest that you download the newest version of your browser. As a side note, I had lots of problems with the latest version of Internet Explorer. So I downloaded Firefox. It seems to be glitch free! You may wish to consider using Firefox as your browser.

Good luck!

If it is an "Internet Explorer must close" error, these are often caused by a bad add-on in Internet Explorer.

Run Internet Explorer with no add-ons installed

Start - All Programs -Accessories -Systems Tools - Click on “Run Internet Explorer (no add-ons)” If IE runs ok you have one or more bad add-ons.

In IE tools - Programs - Click on “Manage Add-ons”. Disable all add-ons then restart. Enable one add-on and restart. If ok enable another ad-on. Repeat until you find the add-on(s) that are causing the problem.

If this does not work you may need to reinstall IE7, uninstall IE7 with Ad/Remove programs. This will take you back to IE6.

Run Windows Live OneCare “Full Service Scan” http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

Reboot.

Reinstall IE7

Try C(rap) Cleaner. It's a free download. Run it and have it delete all of the internet junk it finds (I would say have it fix the registry too).

I'll add that I have never had a problem with it doing either operation, but the registry should not be taken lightly. ANY program that removes items from the registry can make your computer inoperable.

Alternatively, you can try ad-aware from Lavasoft, also free to download.

Hope this helps.

did you send the error report? look in task manager to see if something is running or maybe open documents and click on file then exit to close, reboot.
