no it doesn't need to have that button just go to the tools button it should be somewhere under the address bar. click on Internet options and where it says homepage just put the address of whatever page it is u want to be ur homepage. do not click the use current button.

better to use a search engine like google. but if you have a toolbar for it then use something like yahoo or msn.
