Hello,
(ANS) To start with actually building a website is only really half the story here (its the technical bit). To begin with its very important to understand the purpose behined creating a website, far to many people rush into building site without enough thought given to why you need or want a site.
**A website is a tool for communication, its a way to convay a message, share ideas, or provide information or to sell products or services.
**You need to think about what your website will be about, what you want to tell other people. Who is your site aimed at? who will be your audiance, etc.
**To create the website technically you will need the following things:- a) website space on a server connected to the internet 24/7 usually your internet account comes with space for a personal website (called your home page).
b) An internet connection such as broadband or dialup.
c) Software that allowes you to upload files from your own local computer to the website space on the server. This uses something called FTP (FTP service) file transfer protocol.
**You will need an FTP client program (there are many freeware FTP client programs that are available from site on the web) for uploading your completed website.
d) You will need a website creation program such as MS frontpage or such like (DONT buy a complex or sophisticated program like dreamweaver to start off with!!) to build your site with. My suggestion is learn the basics first and make a good solid simple site before trying to build something more fancy & complicated.
e) Legal implications only apply if you are selling a product or services or making specific claims about something quite precise.
For example I have a website called the proctitispages on which I have a disclaimer because I dont claim my advise will work the same way for everyone who tries my suggestions when it comes to healing. http://www.proctitispages.co.uk
Hope this is useful?
