When i use Tracert to trace a ip routing it does the first hop then times out for the rest till the last hop?

It shows me the first hop and the ms of it then times out for the rest till the last hop and shows me the time for that too. it is the same no matter what ip i try to trace?

internet Control Message Protocol (icmp) is turned off at your router. your network admin is doing his job.
Some ISPs don't allow users to ping or tracert out. Are you able to use the ping command and get responces back?

there r some routers don't allow the tracert packet to travel
or maybe u r not connected directly to the internet"maybe through a proxy server or thomething like that"

Many routers are set to ignore ICMP packets. When you encounter one, the traceroute dies. Since you're seeing the first hop, it's likely that your own gateway, or it's next hop router, is the culprit.
