Question:
WHAT'S THE BEST WEB BROWSER?
2010-08-15 03:37:22 UTC
I've got a Windows 7 Home proffessional on a fairly new computer. I'm currently using Internet Explorer but I bet there's better web browsers out there too. I know fire fox is pretty good, is it the best?

So what's the fastest, easiest and simply the best web browser?

I'd suggest, if you have many downloads in pipeline, then firefox is the best. Downloading from firefox is simply awesome.

Else if you're looking for functionality and structure, then opera is good that way. Opera has a good structure and has speed dials for operational convenience.

I personally prefer firefox though. I find it very convenient. Safari is used for mac. Firefox or opera is the best for win 7.

Every browser has it's ups and downs. Some browsers are great in one area, but fail in another. I like Firefox. In fact, I'm using it right now. Here are the reasons why I think it is the ideal browser for you. If you want to see Firefox's features, click on the following link.http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features/

Firefox is secure. It is filled with features that make your browsing experience very secure and they come right out of the box. One security feature I really like is ID checks, where you can click on a simple button and get all sorts of identification information. I also like the "Reported Site" page when a when you accidentally click on a unsafe site.

Firefox is pretty fast. I admit that it isn't the fastest around, but the browser that is (Chrome) isn't as feature-rich. Like I said before, you want a combination of features, not just one. Firefox is fairly fast and good enough to get by. Usually, I don't care about how fast it renders pages because it is fast enough to get by. It is pretty good with speed, so you don't have to worry about that.

Firefox is extremely customizable. It has thousands of add-ons, so you can say, "There's an add-on for that." If you don't like something about Firefox, an add-on can make it better. Anything from themes to ad-blocking to download improvements to colorful tabs, you can do anything to your browser. 85,00 personas (themes) and counting can change the look of your browser easily. And there's an add-on for personas.

It also has several features like the Awesome Bar, that is a smart address bar. You type in one letter, and there's a suggestion. It is made to let you find any website. And there's add-ons to improve it. And, it improves as you use it. It adapts to the way you browse. It is like a puppy. Except it doesn't nip you.

There are tons of other features, but you can find them all at this link. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

In my opinion, the fastest, easiest and simplest browser is Google Chrome. Some would argue Firefox.

Look at the link below and decide for yourself. It's a personal preference really. Good luck!

score information superhighway browsers: Chrome, FireFox and IE9. Chrome; (execs): swifter, Has very own app keep, helps all the information superhighway formats, Has computerized web site translator... (cons): would not continually help the get carry of determination....... FireFox; (execs): surprisingly a lot swifter, helps all the information superhighway formats, person-friendly to apply.... (cons): Have a great ribbon(reveal screen area is under Chrome and IE9)....... information superhighway Explora 9(IE9); (execs): Have a smaller ribbon(merely have a URL bar), person-friendly to apply, the two swifter to FireFox.... (cons): would not helps all information superhighway formats, extra possibly to buffering or end working, Freezing whilst making use of assorted video tabs(relies upon on your laptop velocity)...... by no potential keep IE9 as a backup browser!

ITS ALL ABOUT YOUR PRIORITIES:

GOOGLE CHROME IS THE FASTEST, BUT HAS MEDIOCRE FLASH SUPPORT AND BAD SECURITY AND NO AD-DONS FROM 3RD PARTY DEVELOPERS (WHICH ARE MOST OF THEM)

FIREFOX ISN'T SLOW AT ALL, ITS ALMOST AS FAST AS GOOGLE CHROME :D IT HAS GREAT

FLASH SUPPORT, 3RD PARTY AD-DON SUPPORT AND SECURITY :D

IE IS CRAP. ITS SLOW, BUT HAS GOOD SECURITY AND GREAT 3RD PARTY SUPPORT :D

AS FAR AS SIMPLICITY GOES, THEY RE ALL PRETTY USER-FRIENDLY.

IE LOOKS A LITTLE MESSY, GOOGLE CHROME LOOKS STUNNING, AND FIREFOX IS IN THE MIDDLE. BARE IN MIND THAT GOOGLE CHROME HAS THEMES WHICH CHANGE THE BACKROUND OF YOUR BROWSER AND ONLY THE BACKROUND, NOT THE BUTTONS.

FIREFOX, ON THE OTHER HAND, HAS THEMES WHICH CAN CHANGE THE BUTTONS AS WELL AS THE BACKROUND. ALSO, IT HAS PERSONAS WHICH CHANGE ONLY THE BACKROUND.

IE IS A LITTLE MORE TECHNICAL OUT FRONT WHICH MAKES IT ALOT LESS PRETTY THEN THE OTHERS. IF YOU WERE TO HACK (TO GAIN SPEED OR SUCH) IT WOULD BE SIMPLER IN IE. THERE ARE MANY FREE, READILY AVAILABLE GUIDES ON THE INTERNET THAT MAKE THINGS SIMPLE :D

SO, IN CONCLUSION:

FIREFOX IS A FAST BROWSER THAT WILL KEEP YOU SAFE, NOT FRUSTRATED (EASE OF USE) AND CAN ADAPT TO YOU (COSMETICALLY) AND HAS SOME 2B USER CREATED AD-ONS AND MANY, MANY MORE 3RD PARTY ONES. ALL IN ALL, FIREFOX IS THE BEST STABLE BROWSER OUT THERE TODAY (NON-BETA). IE8~CR6~FF3

GOOGLE CHROME IS FAST, BUT LACKS EVERYTHING ELSE.

IE8 IS LIKE FIREFOX WITHOUT THE AD-DONS, THE SPEED, THE USER-CREATED AD-DONS.

-RAHUL :D

GOOGLE CHROME IS FAST

Fastest? Would have to google for a low profile one, none like IE or Firefox (big names) will be lighting speed compared to one that has no features.

I use safari btw.
