I'm able to dm someone who doesn't follow me on twitter?

I'm not sure if you know who Jacob Whitesides is (that's Bae tho 👍💕) but um he doesn't follow me. I got on his twitter page & the little dm icon thingy popped up so I got hype & thought he followed me, but like I said he doesn't... So I tried it & it went through & everything. So really I'm just confused... Is this included in twitters new update or...?

Twitter's rules. You can't DM someone who doesn't follow you. Ask them to follow you in case they're expecting your DM :)

me too. i stalked jacob earlier and i dont know how iam able to send him dms like really i thought he was following me or something
