Yes, you can. Some web hosts have made this process very easy. For example when you want to start signing up for BH web hosting service they offer a box to insert your current domain name, and they automaticly transfer it to your new account.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BH which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

There is no need to transfer the whole domain. Just sign up for a web hosting account, they're gonna give you nameservers which you wanna ask your DOMAIN REGISTRAR to forward. You can mostly do this yourself by logging into your account panel or something. Depends on where you're registered. And the hosting, I recommend using HostGator.com. Use coupon "404page" to get first month for 1cent (assuming you're gonna go with Baby Package). If you need help with anything else, please do let me know.

Usually you can transfer your domain name to wherever you want to but it does depend how you got it. A lot of web hosting companies give you a free domain name with hosting, in which case they retain some rights over it. You would then need to check their terms and conditions, they normally make a charge for it if you give up your hosting with them.

If you purchased the name then you need to log in to your domain name providers account and set the ns records to those of your new web host. Then, create the domain or add on domain in your new hosting account and wait sometimes u to 72 hours for the name to proppogate world wide.

So for example, in your new web hosting account, set up your domain and it will tell you which nameservers to use. These will be at least two such as ns1.myhost.com and ns2.myhost.com

Then in your domain name account update the nameservers to these.

If your website is relatively new and you don't have great volumes of traffic at the moment you can get free hosting and good quality from http://foreverfree.0lx.net You need to have 5 visitors per month in order to keep it active, but you get no forced ads and can add between 4 and 7 add on domains and sub domains. You can initially sign up with a sub domain extension such as mysite, so your first url will be www.mysite.foreverfree.0lx.net. Then click the add on domains feature in your hosting control panel create your original domain name, make a note of the ns records and set these in your domain name acount. Then it's just a matter of waiting, it can be fairly quick but names have to propogate world wide so they can take as long as 72 hours. (You can always upgrade your account to paid from as little as 1 dollar per month!)

Yeah. it extremely is properly worth it in case you come again to a determination which you extremely want greater site visitors from Google. Google does believe your internet site greater whether it extremely is registered for an prolonged volume of time. some companies grant information superhighway hosting for a million cent for the 1st month as an ordeal provider, additionally they'll help circulate out of your previous host on your new host for unfastened.
