I have IE and FF. i use them both... sometimes side-by-side. I tend to prefer firefox

FF has lots of add-ons.. its open source, it friendly and configurable. if you have something you want to do a lot, with your browser, there's probably an add on in FF.

it used to be the case that FF was far superior to IE, with its easy tabbed browsing.... then IE pinched that facility and incorporated it into IE7

it used to be the case that IE was better than FF because some sites would not open properly with FF.... that is very rare now.

it used to be the case that IE was more easily exploited by viruses. that is less true than it used to be.

it used to be the case that FF loaded faster than IE, but there are other factors that affect that, and a well configed PC with 'X' will always load faster than a badly configed PC with 'Y'

so.... other than personal preference and what you're used to, there are not any great technical reasons to choose one over the other

I prefer FF because I am more comfortable using it,

Firefox is definitely better because, well, it is faster but it also displays web pages properly. Internet Explorer is a Non-compliant web browser meaning it's not... i guess 'standard' is the best way to put it. Firefox, Safari, and Chrome are all standard compliant. Most web designers test their web pages in a compliant browser because compliant browsers are the ones that pay attention to the code more. IE does not. Then with Firefox you get the infinite selection of themes and add-ons on their web site. I don't have Firefox for Windows because I'm a Linux user but I have been told by Windows users that Firefox is more stable and less of a memory hog than IE. So Firefox is definitely the better choice. If not Firefox use a standard compliant browser such as Google Chrome or Safari because that's probably the way whoever made the web site wants it to look.

Mozilla Firefox by far. Why? Because it's more reliable and secure than Internet Explorer. IE always freezes up on me and I usually have to restart my computer. I have never had that problem with Mozilla Firefox. Firefox has easier settings, and more options.

Firefox is better than IE.

1. Firefox is much more compatible with current web standards, leading to a better browsing experience

2. Firefox has less major security flaws, and the flaws are fixed significantly faster than with IE

3. Firefox can be customized to suit you, with over 7000 free addons, not counting themes that are available.

4. Firefox is actually used by more people than IE, and is the standard.

first, to answer your question on ffx versus ie8, we must address the features

firefox has extensions (too many to count) to aid in browsing (such as forecastfox for weather updates), an integrated smart address bar (type in a keyword and it directs you to the site), and it has the old menu bar, which is an intuitive user interface for those people who like retro-style toolbars

internet explorer is bundled with the windows operating system. therefore, it works smoothly under windows xp and windows vista. if you typed in the filepath like c:\users, it will open it up just like windows explorer. the recent version has accelerators and web slices that make browsing easier so you don't have to click so much. and it just looks better on windows xp / vista

but i prefer firefox because according to wikipedia, the mozilla foundation, and numerous other sites, it's the favorite browser of many and the security patches occur quickly and seamlessly. internet explorer takes too long to patch up and it crashes a lot (at least, ie7 did, i haven't really worked with ie8)

there you go!

Personally I'd say firefox is better as it is open source making it fully customizable and normally more reliable as if a bug occurs someone somewhere will probably make a fix.

I find IE has some annoying design features but if your happy with it then use it.

Firefox is better than Internet Explorer.

It's far more secure, It's faster, and in my opinion, better for intermediate or advanced users. [Beginners can use it too just fine]

Internet Explorer has to wait for a month or two for patching while firefox can be patched just a few days after a vulnerability is noticed.

I use FireFox. I'm good with the people who don't, some folks share a desk and sometimes it's nice to have different browsers "remember" different things.

Having both is better.

It's not personal preference, and it doesn't depend at all, unless you listen to non-experts or microsoft sycophants. The IT Security community has said time and time again to STOP USING IE, because it's a security threat. Stop asking which is better, and just use firefox. It's not perfect, but compared to IE, it's vastly superior. Opera is also decent, and Chrome is OK. On a mac, Safari isn't bad. Wouldn't recommend Safari on Windows though. Basically anything that isn't IE, or based on IE's so-called technology.

the best trading software http://tradingsolution.info

i have attended a lot of seminars, read counless books on forex trading and it all cost me thousands of dollars. the worst thing was i blew up my first account. after that i opened another account and the same thing happened again. i started to wonder why i couldn,t make any money in forex trading. at first i thought i knew everything about trading. finally i found that the main problem i have was i did not have the right mental in trading. as we know that psychology has great impact on our trading result. apart from psychology issue, there is another problem that we have to address. they are money management, market analysis, and entry/exit rules. to me money management is important in trading. i opened another account and start to trade profitably after i learnt from my past mistake. i don't trade emotionally anymore.

if you are serious about trading you need to address your weakness and try to fix it. no forex guru can make you Professional trader unless you want to learn from your mistake.

It really depends on what you are looking for in a browser.

Internet Explorer has been around for ages, and has the full support of Microsoft behind it. It's got about 70% of the market share and as a result is recognisable to almost everybody. It is sleek and powerful, but on old(ish) computers that may slow you down a bit. Still, as the standard browser, you won't find many other negatives with it.

Internet Explorer 8: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

Mozilla FireFox is a highly customizable browser. It has the advantage of being the one of only browsers that is compatible with all operating systems. New themes and gadgets are released every week, and this gives a personal feel to it when viewing websites. Although it slows the computer down, it isn't as bad as IE, though on a fast computer, you won't notice much of a difference between the two.

FireFox 3.0.10: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

Other options available are Opera Browser. This browser offers very limited customization features (only a colour change in fact), but because of this gives very fast browsing. It was mainly developed for low memory computers, and is more of an "Internet Suite" than just a browser. It provides users with the tools and technology to perform a wide variety of internet related tasks like viewing web pages, searching the Internet, sending and receiving emails, conducting online chats, and even displaying the latest Widgets. It doesn't require as many resources as IE or FF, but it isn't very fun to browse in something that looks as out-of-date as it does.

Opera 9.64: http://www.opera.com/download/

The final major browser is Apple Safari. In my opinion it is the fastest of the 4 browser and my personal favourite. Its style is based on the iTunes layout and it doesn't offer any customizability, but if you like iTunes, you'll love this browser. Its major downfall is the fact that it doesn't render (load) webpages very well. This can become very irritating while browsing so most people don't give it a second thought. It has many of the same features as IE and Firefox, including: QuickTime multimedia technology, a tabbed-browsing interface system, and internet searching tools. It does run very fast (even on slow computers) and has the best startup time of all browsers. If you find that the pages you usually visit work fine on Safari, you won't have anything bad to say about it.

Safari 4.0 Beta: http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

A new introduction to the Browser market is Google Chrome, Google's first attempt at an internet browser. It is now out of beta mode and it seems to be one of the fastest browsers out there. It is still fairly new on the Browser market so extensive testing ahsn't been does, unlike IE or FireFox, yet it is already the main browser used by many professionals. It isn't customizable, but Google have announced that they intend to allow plugins like FireFox, so it won't be long until they have plenty of add-ons to keep us happy.

Google Chrome 2.0.167.0: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Google_Chrome_d6037.html

So it really depends on what kind of person you are and what type of computer you have. You can't go wrong with IE or FF, but under stress, they perform slowly, Opera is a boring looking browser but can run where the other two can't, Safari has problems with rendering many webpages and there are far too many security risks with Chrome, but is much the fastest of them all. I personally use four of them (don't really enjoy the experience with Opera) and have no problem with any of them, though IE 8 and Google Chrome are the two I use most.

Hope that helps~
