I change my IP address by typing "ipv6 install" in command prompt.
I also used the software Vidalia Bundle to change it.
I was basically exprimenting n kinda skrewed my laptop up. The vadalia stopped responding in midway so i terminated the process from the Task Manager.
And now I can't connect to the internet... It says I'm connected to a network but I can't connect to any website using firefox, chrome, IE, Flock whatever!!! Please help!
However when I'm connecting the cable to my desktop its working fine... Please help me fix my laptop!!!

This is not an easy one to fix if you don't know a lot about wireless settings but here is what I know of your problem.

When your are connected to a network wirelessly open its status screen and click "properties" a new window will pop up and should show internet protocols ipv/6 and ipv/4 you could try uninstalling them then re-installing them this should return you to their original default settings. I know you said you are using BSNL , but I think if you change these settings it will at least fix your ip setting problem since that setting is universal to your computer.

On most Internet services, you should be getting an IP automatically from your Internet provider; changing it manually is almost guaranteed to stop you from being able to connect. Usually, all you have to do to fix this is make sure the protocol your ISP uses (almost always IP version 4, not 6) is set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" in its properties.

Having said all this, I briefly messed around with Vadalia about a year and a half ago and all it did was screw up my connection. To this day I have no idea why. It is not simple or user-friendly in the slightest, or at least it wasn't then; I very quickly gave up in frustration and uninstalled it.

So im guessing this is a Desktop. Well anyway i have had many problems with the internet problems but have resolved them. my connection is this Phone Jack>Modem>Router>Desktop. (but im using laptop so it would go to laptop but i have desktop so it goes through the router to the desktop) anyway you should first check the wires to make sure that one does not have a defect. Then check the modem because i have had many problems with that, but i just order a new one. Even though since you said that it cant find an ip address, this to me looks like a Internet Provider To your Modem problem. So im suggesting its either the modem or internet provider. I would suggest contacting your Internet Provider. Hope you get your internet working!
